Bahar e Shariat is a comprehensive book on Sharah, Aqaid and Fiqh. It contains a great amount of religious knowledge.
Bahar e Shariat is written by Mufti Mohammad Amjad Ali Aazmi (R.A). He was born in 1882 at Ghusi (UP India). He attained the basic and compulsory Islamic education. His teacher was Hazrat Muhaddis Soorti (R.A). He had a long lasting memory. After getting education from different places, he met Ala Hazrat (R.A). Ala Hazrat (R.A) became his spiritual master. Mufti Mohammad Amjad Ali Aazmi (R.A) also practised medicine. But he left this profession and dedicated his life to writing Islamic and Fiqhi Masail. Ala Hazrat (R.A) had great love for him. He was also appointed as Qazi Sharah. He started writing this famous book and completed it in 1362 Hijra. The author is also known as Sadrush Shariah. He died in 1948.
About the Book
Bahar e Shariat since it is written has been published in many editions in India and Pakistan. Some editions had printing and publishing mistakes. This edition by Dawat e Islami and Maktabu tul Madina comprises of three volumes (Jild). Bahar e Shariat contains a large collection of Fatawa about Islamic issues. It has information on some very essential topics. Few chapters of this book are must read for every Muslim. The book is written in easy Urdu language so that general readers can also get benefit. Fatawa Alamgiri was compiled by many scholars in Arabic. But Bahar e Shariat has been compiled by a single scholar in Urdu.
First volume of this eBook mainly concentrates on basic principles of Islam. There are separate parts for Namaz, Aqaid, Taharat, Roza, Zakat and Hajj. Second parts has topics like Talaq (Divorce) and Khula, Matters involving buying and selling of goods and Kufria sentences etc. Part 14 to 20 are compiled in the third volume. 3rd volumes includes the following topics. Inheritance, Warasat, Qassas, Diyat etc. So, topics encompassing the whole life of a person are discussed by the author. Bahar e Shariat can truly be regarded as the book that makes scholars.
